A Fire that is not Quenched

Image
Where the worm does not die and the fire is not quenched . ( Mark 9:48 ) Where is that place where the worms do not die? Jesus in Mark 9:48 tells us that Hell is the place where the worms do not die, and the fire of hell is never quenched. How powerful is this passage? Not this passage so to speak but passages like it ( some listed below) were a deciding fact in my walk with Christ. I came to Christ not for a better life. The often misused method of witnessing that says “Jesus will fix your health, finance marriage or whatever wrong in your life” would have never worked on me, because I was content where I was, I was in sin where I was, and I was making a lot of money where I was. As a matter of fact my income right now about 65% less than it was since I’ve come to God through Jesus Christ as compared to when I was in the world. What I’m saying is I did not come to Christ for what He could give me, I came to God and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior because...

How Can They Ever Obey God?

Image
AsI come closer to the day they we will adopt a child, God has given me more andmore revelation of his intent. Just the other day the spirt of God spoke to meand said. "If your children can not obey you howwill they ever obey God?" Iwondered was God giving me a word for someone else? or for myself. I thoughtI no longer have any children what can this mean. and then I realized that Iwould soon have little feet running through my home, and God has not given forme to be a foolsih steward of His children. So even before they came he wasinstructiing me on how to raise them. ButI fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, soyour minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3 But by the subtilties of this world we have lost God requirementfor raising our children. The world teaches that we should let tem be their ownpersons, that we should let them make decision on issues that we find much tooimportant for c...

Unwilling Living Sacrifice

Image
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service . Romans 12:1 In just about every Pentecostal or Charismatic church I’ve ever been to, there is an evil  Monster of Praise    that alienates the church members even before the pastor of the church ever brings in the word. While in the mist of Praise and worship he snatches the praise of those that need it and perverts his own praise in the wrath of his holy indignation. Like a praise police he thinks he is tasked with the godly responsibility of determining the fervency of the churches praise. Sometimes the  Monster of Praise    is seen as a member of the Praise and Worship Group or as a leader within your local congregation, someone of authority. But when that person becomes so moved by the worship or praise and presence of Holy Spirit, then looks around the church and sees som...

The Harvest is Plenteous

Image
Matthew 9:37 “ … The   harvest   truly   is   plenteous , but the labourers are few ”   While megachurches are putting the sword to the battle in Asia and in Africa, and the Middle East; passionately taking new ground for the kingdom, our generals (heads of these reformations) have failed to guard our flank. Overtly, the three-headed monster is attacking us in our own homeland eating at the fiber of our faith, gnawing at the entrails of our morality, and imposing their thoughts and doctrine on our children because we have failed to equip them to the faith. They are the ones, knocking on doors, handing out literature, and talking to our children about their faith. Creating new converts for their beliefs at the root level where we have all but completely failed. This three-headed monster understands very well that the future of our faith is dependent on the hope of our youth.  So while we sit high and mighty in foreign lands the monster sneaks into t...

Is Hell Real?

Image
There are many in today’s society that deny the idea that hell is real, they maintain that it is just a figurative expression used to imply and idea not a real place.   The ideal of hell being an eternal and conscious punishment is just not fathomable, the idea of hell being eternal and not temporal is not considered. However the bible clearly teaches that hell is a real place in which the wicked and unbelieving are sent after death.   The bible teaches that; Hell is an eternal fire ( Mat 25:14, Mat3:12 , ) Hell is a place of shame and everlasting contempt for the wicked ( Dan 12:2, Rev 14:10-11,   Rev 20:10 )   That once in hell you can never leave. ( Luke16:25-26 ) There a consciousness of the pain and suffering endured in hell ( Num 16:30, Mat 8:12, Rev 21:8 ) Something to consider is that Jesus spoke more of hell than he did heaven! If hell was just an idea why would he spend so much time warning us of it? If there was no consciousness of the pain and...

Who / What Can Seperate Us From the Love of Jesus?

Image
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?   As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.   Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,   Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ( Romans 8:35-39 ) Today marks the 10 th anniversary of the Attacks on America September 11, 2001. Anyone that is old enough to remember the event can in an instance tell you exactly where they were, and what they was doing that morning when the Twin Towers fell. I can remember watching the first tower fall in the lobby of the office building. In complete disbelief, I ...

Answer Not a Fool (without the Sword of God)

Image
1 Peter 3:15   “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”   Ready Always to Give an Answer What do we do when we know that only reason that this person is asking a question about God is to later use it to attack Christ and attempt to make our faith appear void and of no value? Answer 1 Peter 3:15 What should we do when they say something like “You can’t use the bible to explain (a biblical principle)” or Ask “Can you answer this question without using the bible?” Don’t be fooled the natural man does not desire God. And neither does he desire for you to have God, so he seeks fool you into taking of the Lord Jesus Christ     when answering his questions. Answer DO NOT EVER DO THIS . Never try to answer the enemy [i] concerning any issue of God or morality, or justice or anything that is even vaguely related to God wit...
