Answer Not a Fool (without the Sword of God)

1 Peter 3:15  “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”
Ready Always to Give an Answer
What do we do when we know that only reason that this person is asking a question about God is to later use it to attack Christ and attempt to make our faith appear void and of no value?
Answer 1 Peter 3:15

What should we do when they say something like “You can’t use the bible to explain (a biblical principle)” or Ask “Can you answer this question without using the bible?” Don’t be fooled the natural man does not desire God. And neither does he desire for you to have God, so he seeks fool you into taking of the Lord Jesus Christ   when answering his questions.
Answer DO NOT EVER DO THIS. Never try to answer the enemy[i] concerning any issue of God or morality, or justice or anything that is even vaguely related to God without support from the Word of God.

Explain God Without Using the Bible or Bible Quotes
Yesterday I was surfing the internet and came across a person that had posed an open question to any Christian that could “Explain God without using the bible or bible quotes.” When I first read his question is just ignored it, but as I paged down, to my dismay were honest and loving men and women of God trying to explain God without using the bible or bible quotes. [ii] Everyone made an attempt to explain God out of their own strength (anthropomorphism), but no one was able to do this without making himself look foolish and opening himself up for later logical attacks on the faith.
Now before I go any further lets address this very familiar Bible passage;

Ephesians 6:11-17 KJV “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”

Verse 11 of Ephesians 6 tells us if we put on the “whole” Armor of God we will be able to stand against the wiles (Strong’s G3180 [methodeia] and is defined as cunning arts, deceit, craft, trickery) So why would the enemy want to attack us with trickery rather than a full frontal all out assault? Here is a hint; verse 17 says the word of God is the sword of the spirit. Unlike the rest of the Armor of God, God’s revealed word (the bible) is not a defensive weapon, its purpose is not to protect, but to attack, The Word of God is the only weapon God has given the Christian to defeat the principalities, and powers, rulers of darkness of this world, and wickedness in high places. Now, defensive weapons protect you from attacks, but it takes offensive weapons like the word of God to defeat the enemy!

Hebrews 4:12 says “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”

There is a Trojan Horse in Troy
For this reason the enemy seeks to disarm you by asking you to give an answer without using the bible, His desire to have you put down the Sword of Spirit because it has power to destroy him and his wickedness. What we as men and women of God must know is that we cannot defeat the enemy on our own, without being armed and ready to strike with the sword. For this reason God has given us the proper spiritual weaponry for the battle that is at hand.

These questions about God which are not really about God but posed so as to disarm you as a spiritual warrior, they are nothing but a Trojan horse which have the goal of drawing your attention on what is of little value so that they can attack your blind side when you defenses are down.

Did you realize that it is impossible to explain anything about God without the bible? The main reason is because when we try to understand God who is spiritual with a natural mind it appears foolish. No man can naturally perceive God. No one!
1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he [iii] know them, because they are spiritually discerned”

To the man of science truth is found when a hypothesis is taken to the absolute smallest term. Just as you can explain nothing about God without knowledge of God and the discerning power of the Sword of God, you cannot explain nothing about science without using scientific jargon or quote from books on science. Scientifically, and logically any explanation on any subject without proof is called conjecture or opinions and we know everyone has an opinion and most of them are just like fresh doggie poo, they stink!
This is true of all walks of life if there is no understanding of an area of knowledge, before we can expound on that subject we must give basic understanding first.
Consider this, if I say wizard you may have a basic understanding of what a wizard is and be able to track my deeper conversation about wizards. However if I am speaking Mixed Martial Arts fight the meaning is completely different, how many know what a wizard is now? If you knew nothing about MMA you would not be able to follow my conversations about wizards. And even though I may be well versed in MMA my conversation would be foolish to you. It is for this reason that we do not try to explain anything about God or Christ Jesus or Holy Spirit without using the bible as the source of our information. If the enemy gets you to disarm (put down the bible) he will now attack you with a vengeance and in his ignorance possibly destroys your salvation.
Proverb 26:4 says “Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him

2 Timothy 2:23 But foolish and unlearned [not taught the things of Christ] questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes

Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

[i] An enemy is anyone that has not professed the lord Jesus Christ and is not walking in a Christian life
[ii] Louis Berkhof Book “Summary of Christian Doctrine” teaches that the bible is the only special revelation of God given to man. Moreover, man can not perceive God unless god reveals Himself to man.
[iii] Let me draw you attention to the fact that the passages say “Neither can he” which is a statement of ability, not “neither may he” which would be a statement of desire
