When Divinity Meets Humanity

Image
Doctrine is not revealed as fact like a number but the teaching of the Bible that is systematically arrived at. What this means is that you look at all of scripture as a whole and see what it is teaching about a given subject. For instance the Bible teaches, that ·         God created the heavens and the earth. ( Genesis 1:1 ) ·         That there is one God, ( Deuteronomy 6:4 ) From this we can say confidently there is but one God and He created the Heavens and the Earth.  That is until we get to Colossians 1:16 which in speaking of Jesus Christ says “ For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” How do we reconcile Colossians 1:16 with Genesis 1:1 and Deuteronomy 6:4 ? Simple Jesus must be God. This is very staggering...

Humble Your Denomination

Image
Humble Your Denomination As I write this to you I feel a need to first explain the biblical meaning of  denomination, in order to give some clarity on The Apostle Paul’s first letter to the church at Corinth ( 1Cor 14:14-23 ).  We spoke about this on Friday when we addressed you’re going to church with members of your family while at your family reunion. I know that I am long winded but I think you being an intellect will give me some room to wiggle. Please note that this is written to you  ( This post is actual written in response to a letter given to me about how to serve God. ) not to everyone else. Not all teaching is for all people, theology confuses most Christians and most have no idea what they believe, and cannot explain the process of salvation if it meant their life, and it does. Therefore what I am writing is for  your knowledge only  that you may be given a starting point to study what you believe; not to give to others as a way to sh...

A Christian view of Gays

Image
I was reading a post by a John Stone the author of “ Why the Christian view of Gays does Not work” , and just like so many others who seek to manipulate the foundation of Christianity. I see Mr. Stone for what he is; a homosexual seeking to impose his view on all Christianity. But unlike the atheists I respond to, Mr Stone does not hate God, he only wants God to repent from His word and accept homosexual  so that he can both love God and make love to his brother. Now I will probably hold Mr. Stone in higher regard then the others only in that he seeks God in his own mind, it just he has not allowed scripture and Holy Spirit to have their way with him. It is very clear what the bible says about men having sex with other men, ( Lev 18:22, 20:13 ,) while the New Testament includes the same act among women ( Rom 1:26-27 ) However, I don't think this is the issue of Mr. Stones's post. The real issue is his desire to subvert the scripture with what men (he) wants to be...

He that hath two coats

Image
And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? He answereth and saith unto them, “He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise” (Luke 3:11)   (Luke 3:10-11) Prayers in Pursuit of God One of the most difficult things for men to comprehend is that we have no real knowledge of good and bad. The natural man perceives by his action whether he is good or bad. However, this obedience to the law ( what appears as good ) is not truly good at all, because obedience is out of obligation. Even the most devout Christian desires a reward ( be it eternal life or heaven ) for his obedience. It may be hard to grasp that a person can do what is perfectly right and still not be right by our Heavenly Father. If it were possible for a man to never break the law, it would be just as possible for that man to be perfectly obedient and not know the Father in his good works. Consider this story; a teenage boy sees an old l...
