A Christian view of Gays

I was reading a post by a John Stone the author of “Why the Christian view of Gays does Not work”, and just like so many others who seek to manipulate the foundation of Christianity. I see Mr. Stone for what he is; a homosexual seeking to impose his view on all Christianity. But unlike the atheists I respond to, Mr Stone does not hate God, he only wants God to repent from His word and accept homosexual  so that he can both love God and make love to his brother. Now I will probably hold Mr. Stone in higher regard then the others only in that he seeks God in his own mind, it just he has not allowed scripture and Holy Spirit to have their way with him.

It is very clear what the bible says about men having sex with other men, (Lev 18:22, 20:13,) while the New Testament includes the same act among women (Rom 1:26-27) However, I don't think this is the issue of Mr. Stones's post. The real issue is his desire to subvert the scripture with what men (he) wants to be recognized as love. Just as Bill Mahar has tried to tell Christians what it takes to be a Christian and Andrew Sullivan has tried to manipulate Christians to stop going to church. Mr. Stone is trying to convince Christians that there is an unbreakable association between loving a person in their sin and accepting their sin, and he (Mr. Stone) do this with the hidden agenda of the church accepting his homosexuality.

Please let me address this;
God is Love, and it is the love of God that covers a multitude of sin. However, sin is sin, and it cannot be accepted within the church. Nor will God accept sin. The bible teaches us the God hates sin. (Hosea 9:15, Proverbs 6:16-19, Leviticus 20:23, Psalms 5:5, Psalms 11:5) Yet it is not the sin but the sinner which he punishes.(Isaiah 26:21)

Why? Because no matter how much we say God is love, (and God is Love) we cannot forget God is just, and a person that sins offends God. To let people who are actively, outwardly, practicing in homosexual activities in the church is not against Christianity. Jesus Christ came for the adulter, liar, and thief which could be anyone of us that may sit in any chair in the church, but he also came for the homosexual whom we often reject.   So we should allow them in the church , nut never stop preaching a gospel the demands a holy livelihood.  We must strengthen them to holiness and never allow anyone to  continue in sin.  Bring ligh to the sin by the word of God and the power of Holi spirit. (Ephesians 5:11, 5:13, 2Timothy 4:2)

This response is not an anti-homosexuals statement at all, it finds its reason in the wisdom of scripture and common sense of man. Moreover a Christian view of Gays should have it foundation in sin, and nothing else. I don't condone homosexuality because it is a sin, just as I don’t condone  murder, or lying, or  rape, or child molesting,  therefore I address and treat the homosexual as I would the liar, with love and truth exhorting , and guiding and knowing the terror that is the wrath of God persuading him/her to Christ.

Would you allow a self professed rapist in your women's club or church? How about a child molester, would you allow him to join your church or the local boys and girl club? How safe would you feel knowing that man sitting next you in church got off for murder on a technicality. Would you run to the altar for prayer while your wallet is at your seat suspecting that the person sitting next to you was a thief?

I'm not saying we should band these people from the church, I desire for these very people to come to church more than the righteous and pious. Because everyone of us had done some or even all of these things either naturally of in our spirit. The Church should be full of ex-abuser of the law, the bible teaches the sick need a physician those that can be strengthened by his brother that know his iniquity and helps him to resist. Even with all this every now and then we will still fall back into our sin. But when we do we see that our sin has made us an enemy of God, and the pain hurt deep down inside. And not the sin, but the fact we a have turned from God causes us to feel sorry, but with godly sorrow we repent (turn from our sin) and in faith God delivers us.

No I'm not saying that we should not allow homosexuals, or murders, or thieves, or even child molesters in our churches. I'm saying we should not allow them to remain in the church. They must repent and turn from their sin, we all must repent and turn from our sin. Or God will give us up to our reprobate mind. (Romans 1:28)

You are right God loves us all, but he does not love us the way we are, because the way we are is an abomination to him. And everyone of us justifiably deserves to burn eternally in hell.
But Praise be to God;

"For when we were yet without strength (stuck in our sin), in due time Christ died for the ungodly."(Romans 5:6)

Each and every one of us, because He knew what it was like to be tempted by the lust of our body, the lust of the world and the pride of life. Tormented by the evil works of the devil, He, Himself knew what it took to get us out of it and though he had to suffer for our perversion, our hatred, our evil doing He loved so much the He suffered all the way to death. The bible says...

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (through faith in Jesus Christ). (Hebrews 4:15-16)

Soli Deo Gloria
Your Brother in Christ
