He Wants It All

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever (Revelation 5:13)
Prayers in Pursuit of God
Part 9 of a 11
Many years ago internet access was through the phone lines; a computer with a modem would dial the number of the provider and the modem on the other side would answer. When one of the two modems were not set at the proper speed, the connection would be slow or lost altogether. In the same way when we try to reach God in prayer or be in His presence. If we are not functioning at the correct baud rate than our communication with the Father is lost.

Much of our difficulty as seeking Christians stems from our unwillingness to take God as He is, rather than changing our (behavior) baud rate, we try to get our heavenly Father to adjust the way He communicate so that he can come nearer to us. But our Father never changes.(Malachi 3:6) so if we seek to be in his presence we must change how we communicate with Him
We can give the Father a little of ourselves, but not everything, we can give Him our tithes but not our heart, our job but not our family time, our troubles but not our hopes. Yet our Father desires to have it all. We must give up everything we have to Him, submit anything which we are holding on to so that he alone in God in our lives.
But submission for the sake of submission is just a form of giving up, when we give up, when we give up there is hopelessness and nothing happens giving up is very inactive. This is not the relationship that our Father desire of us. Rather we must voluntarily exalt our heavenly Father to His proper place over our lives. Here we see by submitting to the Father we are actively working to exalt the Father, actively surrendering our whole being to a place of continual worship and praise
As the self-existent One our Father brought into existence all things, and all things exist out of Him and for Him. "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."( Revelation 4:11)
He is our Creator, and this is the right and perfect and in reverence of who He is. He is not our running buddy and our relationship with Him should never be seen as that of a friend, but as our God and heavenly Father. Don't get me wrong the Father may call us His friend (James 2:23) but it is asinine to assume that we can in anyway call Him friend. We are His creation; we belong to Him; just like any object that we can possess, if we are to have a right relationship with Him we must come into complete submission to Him as His possessions. We owe Him every honor that it is within our power to give Him. Anything less is the perversion of the right relationship with our Father. We owe Him all, and He wants it all! In this way we work to have a right relation with our Father.

Let us pray;
O heavenly Father I exalted you over all my possessions. Nothing on this earth is nearly as dear to me as You being exalted in my life. I rise you above mother, father, sister, and brother; I raise You above my comforts and easy living, be exalted my Father.
Ride forth in my presence as You did ride the mounted beast two thousand years past. And as You ride in humility, hear the voice of my heart and soul cry, as the children of Jerusalem with a carpet of palm set before You. “ hosanna, hosanna in the highest”
in Jesus Name Amen

Soli Deo Gloria
